Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Puntino is operated by Richard Klingler ("we", "us"). This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use the Puntino app and its backend services.

2. Data we collect

Location data: We access your device's GPS location to show nearby amenities. Your location is sent to our server to perform proximity searches but is not stored permanently.

Apple ID: If you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique anonymous identifier and, optionally, your email address. We use this solely to manage your account.

User-submitted content: When you add an amenity, we store the name, address, type, GPS coordinates, and your user ID.

Reports: When you report a problem with an amenity, we store the amenity ID and the reason you selected.

3. How we use your data

  • To display nearby amenities on the map
  • To allow you to contribute new amenities
  • To process reports and maintain data quality
  • To authenticate your account

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is stored on servers located in Germany.

5. Data retention

Account data is retained until you delete your account. Amenity data you submitted is deleted when you delete your account. Anonymous usage data (e.g., API request logs) is retained for up to 30 days.

6. Your rights

You can:

  • Delete your account and all associated data at any time via Settings > Delete Account
  • Revoke location access via your device's Settings
  • Contact us to request a copy of your data

7. Security

All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain.
